Our Management Team has a diverse background with proven leadership capabilities in business, sales, and information technology.
Amy Rao founded IAS in June 1994 and serves as its CEO. In addition to her responsibilities as CEO, Amy devotes much of her time and energy to raising awareness about climate change and encouraging environmentally friendly habits in both the work place and home. Amy serves on the boards of multiple non-profit organizations and engages in various additional philanthropic projects.
Karin Napier joined IAS in March of 1995, bringing more than 24 years of experience in technology sales and development. She has been leading the sales team at IAS since its inception. Prior to IAS, Karin held sales roles at Taarcom, Honeywell, and Mobile Communications.
Anna Borden has more than 20 years experience in accounting and finance in both the public and private accounting sectors. Prior to joining IAS, Anna held positions as Vice-President of Finance/Corporate Secretary and Controller at Indus International in San Francisco and Vice-President of Finance at Reel.com.
Stacy Schwarz-Gardner has over 25 years of experience in the information technology industry. She joined IAS in 1999 as Vice President of Engineering, in which she helped to build a team of industry-recognized engineering professionals focused on architecture, design, and deployment of IAS’s technical solutions. Stacy recently took on her current role of EVP of Technical Marketing and Emerging Technologies, and is focused on building a team of marketing professionals to expand market share and develop new strategic areas of technology for the company. Prior to joining IAS, Stacy held management roles at Comdisco (Sungard), Acuson (Siemens Medical), Accountants Inc., and Syntex (Roche).
As Director of Business Development, Erin’s responsibilities include overseeing partner development, strategic initiatives, and corporate philanthropy. She is active in social and environmental causes, primarily in the area of HIV/AIDS, pediatric cancer, environmental conservation, and sustainability.
Shawn Hamby joined IAS in early 2004 and has guided the team of technical architects/engineers since early 2008. Along with the IAS engineering team, Shawn works directly with customers to advise, educate, design, and explore technology solutions to business problems. Shawn brings more than 12 years of experience in datacenter systems and operations, specifically focused on IT infrastructure, including data storage and protection. Prior to joining IAS, Shawn worked in both end user and channel organizations focused on information technology system design, administration, and professional services implementation. Shawn has implemented and administered application infrastructure based on Linux, HP-UX, and Windows platforms, and has 10 years experience working with SAN, NAS, data protection, and disaster recovery design and implementation.
Janice Slayton joined the IAS engineering team in 2003 and has held roles as Senior Technical Architect and Engagement Practice Manager. Janice currently oversees all IAS technical service delivery interactions with our customers, including project management and professional services. Prior to joining IAS, Janice held various roles in engineering at Sun Microsystems, where she helped support large enterprise companies and provided technical account management, sales support, and solution architectures for complex client IT environments. In addition, she spent several years implementing Sun technology and Tandem mainframe (now HP) publishing software in customer datacenters across the US and Europe. Janice brings over 10 years of both technical and customer-facing experience to IAS, which provide her with a unique perspective when working with companies facing dynamic business challenges.
John Woodall serves as Director of Advanced Technology for IAS. In this role, he provides strategic technology direction focusing on existing and emerging technologies. John has over 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining IAS in 2002, John was Senior Manager of Systems Architecture at Symantec Corporation, where he was responsible for the infrastructure and architecture of all system and storage related projects for internal as well as externally facing IT systems. Before joining Symantec, John was Site IT Manager for Solectron, where he managed all aspects of IT operations, development, and support. John has held a variety of prior IT management, project management, and technical roles for Sequel, Inc., Madge Networks, and MDL Information Systems. John brings broad exposure and experience from all aspects of the IT organization; is able to uniquely apply technology to solve complex problems and articulate technical and business value to diverse audiences.
